Brokerage and consultancy

Airmen Technical Services offers customers access to highly experienced aviation industry professionals internationally, with a wide range of skill-sets, from C-suite executives to platform-specific aircraft maintenance engineers and other technical personnel. Our consultancy services include advisory projects, airworthiness audits, report writing, strategic change programmes, fleet utilisation, bid writing support, supply chain evaluation and acquisitions, typically in the repair, modification and workforce utilisation sector.

Modification, repair and inspection (MRI)

Airmen’s MRI teams are leading experts in their field, that are handpicked to deliver customer projects to a fixed price schedule with stringent turnaround times.

Sourced by referral only, we are building our type teams for military and commercial assignments, covering a range of specialisms, from powerplant to aircraft coating expertise. Airmen Technical Services supports all commercial variants of Airbus and Boeing passenger and cargo fleets, whilst our defence division focuses on Lockheed Martin platforms,  which includes the C-130 and Blackhawk helicopter variants. Our teams can be deployed for seasonal as well as long-term maintenance programmes, supporting customer aircraft modifications, repairs and general fleet airworthiness.

Global skills mobility

We understand that a number of our partner clients are struggling to attract and retain local talent within their MRO organisations, which in turn is hampering the organisation’s ability to grow. MROs and OEMs have traditionally utilised the temporary/permanent recruitment agency model, which is a costly short-term solution. However this market is now overcrowded and not an economically viable long-term solution.

Airmen’s global network provides our clients with an alternative option. It enables them to avoid the instability of competition from the agency recruitment model, whilst controlling their own labour needs with access to a pre-approved network of talent professionals and organisations, deployed either on a permanent basis or fixed term contract.

To ensure that Airmen partners can provide the highest standard of expertise in the industry, we undertake a rigorous selection process for prospective Airmen, which may require skills testing in an approved workshop facility.  Recognising that our teams may be deployed in any location worldwide, Airmen Technical Services provides individuals and organisations with full support when navigating the complexity of global visa programmes. This means that clients are assured of the legitimacy of our Airmen’s right to work in specific countries.

Scalable team deployment

Airmen Technical Services has unparalleled access to skilled pools of aircraft engineering personnel and other technical specialists but crucially, we also provide immigration advice and visa support to our Airmen.

This means that our business is able to offer commercial customers with the support they need to deliver engineering projects of any size. Typical expertise (not exhaustive) that Airmen Technical Services provides are:

Aircraft maintenance planning
Airframe system technicians
Technical services
Engine mechanics
MRO management
Aircraft electricians
Licensed engineers (EASA/CAA/FAA/ICAO)
Avionic technicians

Structural engineers
Aircraft painters
Airframe technicians
NDT technicians

Typically, our project delivery teams number from 35 to 80 engineers but some of our larger customers demand much larger teams, from 150-250 engineers.
